about me

I began writing my own books after I went to an illustration conference and got really inspired. I had been an illustrator for years working with editorial and advertising clients, but I really wanted to do something that was more personal and I love to write as well. I have always loved books and I attribute that to the books I read as a kid. From picture books like HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON by Crockett Johnson to FROM THE MIXED UP FILES OF MRS. BASIL E. FRANKWEILER by E.L. Konigsburg when I was in elementary school  I couldn't get enough of these stories. I would read them over and over , getting lost in the world they created every time.

The book mobile would come on Saturdays to the apartment complex where we lived and everyone would race inside to see what new books they brought. Between that and the library, I was never out of books. I had the Dewey Decimal system memorized in high school so I could pretty much find what I wanted without the card catalog! For those of you that know what that is.
